Increase Your Sales With Froogle
We have always looked to Google to give us more traffic and visitors but have you every wondered about Froogle? Froogle is Google’s latest means of servicing their customers. It is a service for buying products and is a price comparison service. Searchers type in a product and a page of vendors who are offering this product comes up. You can also search by price either ascending or descending and all the prices will be listed conveniently for you. Froogle was in beta form for some years before Google introduced it in 2002.
Advantages to searchers (buyers):
Choice of search: there are 2 ways to find products and prices on Google, by keyword or by price. Different store names can be used as well. Remember that when you are searching by store this will be a limited list as many times product owners will not list their products with store information.
Froogle can also be accessed from a cell phone: You can even access Froogle on your cell phone by wireless markup language.
Advantages to sellers: There are certain features that set Froogle apart from other price comparison services. For one thing it is free to submit products and Google does not collect commission when items are sold. There will be the usual paid ads on the right hand side (this are little Adwords text ads) like Google’s search engine
Submitting your product:
Submissions are done in 2 ways. Either by going to Froogle and submitting your products yourself or letting the Googlebots (Google’s little spiders) find your webpage with your products displayed and automatically include your web page in Froogle listings.
When you submit you will list the item with a web link
You can host your products with Google and provide a store name. Google will provide a map to show searchers your location when you do this.
Provide a short description for your product. Try not to make this an ad but at the same time write your description in such a way that people will be curious and want to click through for further information and buy your product.
You can submit your products in different ways:
With a website link
By your local offline store
Via web form singly
Many products in a bulk file
Making sales: A list of products comes up when searchers put in their keyword or price and readers can click through on your link. You can also make sales through your offline store
Froogle has 2 useful features that will help you sell your products:
Seller ratings-Googlebots capture information about your product and rate it
Product reviews-Froogle finds all the reviews that have been done on your product and reproduces small snippets from them with links to read the rest of the review from different sites. This can act as a good pre seller.
This is just another way that Google provides to help sellers sell and searchers find products they need. There is a lot of good information on Google itself about Froogle. You can check this out for more information on this free service.
